Granite Transportation

In October 2000 Granite Transportation was launched as a second company owned and operated by Steve and Jeffrey Shellenberger in York, Pa., to serve locally in the food and manufacturing sectors with two drivers and one customer.

Since 2000 Granite has grown to nine customers and 64 drivers primarily operating in the northeast region of the United States.

Granite Transportation thrives on our family atmosphere and dedicated employees giving our customers a level of service and professionalism that is "simply the best." Granite's strength is our employees. Our goals are to be the best we can be every day.

S&H Express

S&H Express started in 1992 with the purchase of a small local trucking company located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The Company grew rapidly in the 1990's as its customer base and fleet expanded.

In 1998 the Company relocated to York, Pennsylvania, moving into a remodeled and larger terminal, warehouse, and general offices building with expanded truck parking lots. S&H Express was awarded the "City of York Outstanding Development Award" for the renovation and development of a dilapidated terminal and warehouse.

S&H now operates as a regional truckload carrier with a 48 state operating authority. It primarily services the market areas of the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Midwest. Specific lanes throughout the country are serviced on an "as-needed" basis. Today there are more than 200 CDL drivers and a combined fleet of 200 tractors and 750 trailers.

Shelly Rental & Storage

The Shelly Trailer Rental and Storage Company is connected with S&H Express trucking and all of its affiliated companies. The Shelly Company was started in 2002 as a way to provide better service for our customers by meeting more of their operational requests.

The need for extra warehouse space has been a concern for many of our customers. With the increased expense and hassle of building expansion, Shelly Rental provides a sensible and cost effective alternative. Since the inception of the company we have had much success with this solution and are continuing to grow as the need for the rental service grows.
